TRIBUTE TO MY FRIEND, OGA MI; OLOYE!

Oloye lives to die no more. His records in the heart of men bears witness of his eternal life.
Pastor Theophillus Babatunde Martins was a great spiritual mentor, Counselor, Pastor, International Evangelist who was led by the Holy Spirit and also empowered to visit the four walls of Nations for Christ.

On the home front, Oloye’s best favourite and number one friend is his wife Sister Catherine who I refer to as ‘Iyawo Oga Mi’ meaning my boss wife. Judah and Funmi follow closely in his agape show of love to humanity. Late Pastor Martins would hardly preach a sermon without mentioning one of these three names. To access Oloye at any time, you must first confess the love of God and your love for Jesus. In one of our longest discussions, Oloye insisted on the will of God as eternally superior to God’s permissive will.

Oloye’s exit confirms his believe, which implies that this is God’s time for him to go home and rest eternally with the Lord.

Oloye counsels by identifying God’s virtues in the individual and he would usually insist that you can make it if you’re willing and obedient.

I joined the RCCG in 1992 through one of the soul winning departments of the Mission which was specifically created by Daddy E.A. Adeboye few years after his call as the General Overseer of the RCCG. Christ The Redeemer Friends International or Universal (CRFI or CRFU) as it then called an Evangelism Units to witness to Leaders in the society.

Pastor Theophillus Martins was a member of this vibrant evangelism group. It was in one of its unspeakable dinner outreach organized in Sheraton that I first met Pastor Martins.

From Dominion Sanctuary Acme, we were both in the Victory House Lagos Province 3, Festac and finally, we also came together to Garden of Peace Lagos Province 45, Surulere which he pastored for several years as a Zonal Pastor before upgrading of the church to Provincial Headquarter.

The Lagos Province 3 established by Pastor Brown Oyitso and later succeeded by Pastor Austine Ukaiwe that gave birth to Lagos Province 45 under the leadership of Pastor Cosmas Daramola and his wife, Pastor Mrs. Abiodun Daramola (PICP and WPICP).

Before the creation of the LP 45, Late Pastor Theophillus Martins was my Zonal Pastor while I was transferred from the RCCG Living Water Assembly Ajao Estate to RCCG House of Victory Ebutte Meta.

According to Pastor Brown Oyitso, our Provincial Pastor at that time who wanted to transform the whole church. It was Pastor Martins that surrendered 30 (Thirty) workers from Garden of Peace to assist in the transformation of the church which today some of those workers transferred to the church by Pastor Martins are Ministers and Pastors in the Mission.

Pastor Martins would readily surrender his life any time for God’s work to prosper.

Pastor lived well. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
